Digital Delivery Update

We've written hundreds of letters over the years but this is the hardest one we've had to write ourselves.

Moving forward, every story, every letter, every hidden clue and postcard will still all be there, on the same bi-monthly schedule you know. It just won't come through your mailbox anymore.

All subscriptions paid for before July 1st 2026 will still be mailed out in a physical letter, but starting today, we are moving from physical mail to 100% digital delivery.

We built this company on the idea that there's something irreplaceable about a real envelope, a real stamp, the walk to the mailbox. That belief hasn't changed. 

But the realities of rising postage and other costs, letters lost or delayed in transit, address changes, and some customers waiting weeks longer for the same story have made the experience less reliable than we want it to be and are issues we want to resolve.

So we made the harder choice: change the format, protect the story.

Here's what stays exactly the same:

1. The same 24-letter arc, the same handwritten-style design, the same historical detail poured into every page. 
2. The same delivery schedule of twice a month so the rhythm of anticipation doesn't disappear.
3. The same care in every single letter.

Here's what's actually better:

1. Your price is locked in for as long as you're subscribed…no increases, ever.
2. No letter will ever get lost in the mail again, and every subscriber worldwide gets each letter at the right time.
3. In the past, we've had to cut content because it simply couldn't fit in an envelope under one stamp (extra pages, additional artwork, longer inserts, more of the historical detail researched for every story). Going digital means you'll get material that never could have made it to your mailbox.
4. You get a permanent archive of all your letters you can revisit anytime

We're not going to pretend this is what you signed up for. It isn't. But we hope you'll give it a chance to become its own kind of ritual. The story was always the heart of this, and now it's a fuller story than we've ever been able to tell.

If this change means the letters aren’t right for you anymore, we understand completely, and you're welcome to cancel or pause anytime. No hard feelings, no hoops to jump through. Just reply to this email and we'll take care of it personally or use the cancel option in your account.
