Starting July 1, 2026 All Stories Are Digital

Have Questions? We’ve Got You Covered!

A combination of things that all pointed the same direction. As we continued to grow, physical mail became our biggest source of problems: letters lost in transit, address changes, limits on how much we can include physically in a letter, rising postage and printing costs that made it harder to keep the story quality high without raising prices. Digital delivery solves all of these at once with no lost mail, no postage constraints on what we can include, and better control of pricing.

This wasn't a decision we made lightly, and we know it changes something real about the experience for a lot of you. We tried to solve this in other ways first. Ultimately, we decided the story mattered more than the paper it arrived on.

We don't have current plans to return to physical mail as our primary format. We know that's hard to hear if the mailbox moment was the reason you subscribed in the first place. We're not ruling out a physical option down the road, but we don't want to promise something we're not certain we can deliver.

On your usual delivery day (twice a month), you'll receive an email with a link to that letter. It's designed to look and feel like the printed letters with the same handwriting-style fonts, same illustrations, and same layout along with any inserts rendered so you can view them in full detail or save them.

Every physical letter had to fit within strict size and weight limits to ship under a single stamp. That meant we regularly trimmed pages, cut planned artwork, or shortened historical detail to stay under that limit. Digital delivery removes that constraint entirely.

No. If you're a current subscriber, your price is locked at what you're paying now for as long as you remain subscribed, even if pricing changes for new subscribers in the future.

We understand completely, especially if you gifted this to someone who isn't comfortable with email or apps, or if the physical experience was the whole reason you subscribed. If this change means this experience isn't right for you or your recipient anymore, you can cancel or pause at any time. Email us at hello@postscriptsociety.com or use the cancel option in your account, and we'll take care of it personally.

They'll need an email address and internet access. If they're not comfortable with digital devices, we'd rather you know that now than be disappointed later. Please reach out to us directly and we'll help you cancel.

Just the format. The story, the characters, the pacing, the historical research, none of that changes. The only difference is that it now arrives on a screen instead of in an envelope, with more content than we were previously able to fit.

No. Your next letter will arrive digitally on your regular scheduled date as there's no pause or gap in the story.
