This policy explains how we handle shipping, delivery timelines, and replacement letters for The PostScript Society.
Shipping charges are calculated at checkout and shown before you place your order.
Any free-shipping promotions will be clearly noted on the product page.
First letter: Ships within 1–3 business days of your order. This first letter includes USPS tracking.
Ongoing letters: After that, letters are mailed through regular USPS mail (untracked) in the second and fourth weeks of each month.
If your order includes a keepsake tin or gift bundle, your first letter may arrive inside the tin.
Items such as keepsake boxes, stationery, or other collectibles usually ship within 3–5 business days.
During busy seasons, orders may take up to 10 business days to ship.
A tracking number will be provided for all merchandise orders.
All letters and packages are shipped via the United States Postal Service (USPS).
For some merchandise, alternate carriers may be used if faster or more reliable for your location.
We ship to most countries supported by USPS.
International delivery times vary based on local postal operations and customs processing.
Any customs fees or import taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.
Please double-check your shipping address before placing your order.
If you move or need to update your address, contact hello@postscriptsociety.com as soon as possible so we can update your information for future mailings.
Note: USPS mail forwarding does not always apply to subscription letters. The safest way to ensure smooth delivery is to update your address directly with us.
If something doesn’t arrive, just reach out to us with your order details at hello@postscriptsociety.com.
If the issue was caused by us or USPS, we’ll resend it for free.
If the letter was sent to an incorrect or outdated address entered at checkout, we can resend it for a small fee of $5 per letter (U.S.) or $7 per letter (international).
We want every letter to find its way home, so don’t hesitate to reach out if one goes missing.
You can switch to a different letter story within 60 days of your first shipment.
Previously mailed or processed letters can be reissued from the new story for $5 per letter in the U.S. or $7 per letter internationally.
After 60 days, exchanges are not available.
Story redemption codes are gift activation codes that allow the recipient to start a specific letter story when they’re ready.
You purchase a code as part of a gift set or bundle.
The recipient goes to our Redemption page, enters the code, and sets their start date and address.
Their letters begin arriving according to the standard mailing schedule.
If you need help redeeming a code or locating yours, email hello@postscriptsociety.com.
If a letter arrives damaged or with missing inserts, please send a photo to hello@postscriptsociety.com, and we’ll replace it at no cost.
Unused story redemption codes are refundable for up to 60 days after purchase.
Once a code has been redeemed, it becomes active and is no longer eligible for a refund.
If a gift bundle included a keepsake tin, the tin must be returned in its original condition to receive a refund for the bundled product.
